Verónica Vázquez (Uruguay, 1970) es una artista autodidacta que trabaja con materiales como el cartón, láminas metálicas, papel, alambre, cajas, hilos, hierros, y objetos encontrados.
En 2014, la galería Piero Atchugarry comenzó a representar su trabajo, organizando exposiciones individuales en 2014, 2015, 2016 y 2019-2020. La galería editó varios catálogos sobre su trabajo. En 2015 expone en "Amore e Scelta" Abbazia di Rosazzo, Udine (Italia). En el 2016 realizó una exposición individual de su obra en el Museo della Commenda di Pré de Génova.
Su obra Moldes fue incluida en la exposición Paradiso Inclinato en la Ex Dogana de Roma, junto con obras de maestros como Alighiero Boetti, Gino De Dominicis, Tano Festa, Jannis Kounellis, Pier Paolo Calzolari, Luigi Ontani, Giulio Paolini, Mario Schifano, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Emilio Prini y Cesare Tacchi. Verónica Vázquez (Uruguay, 1970) is a self-taught artist who works with materials such as cardboard, metal sheets, paper, wire, boxes, threads, iron and found objects.
In 2014, the Piero Atchugarry gallery began to represent her work, organizing a solo exhibition in 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2019-2020. The gallery published several catalogs on her work. In 2015 she exhibited at "Amore e Scelta" Abbazia di Rosazzo, Udine (Italy). In 2016 she held a solo exhibition of her work at the Museo della Commenda di Pré in Génova.
Her work “Moldes” was included in the Paradiso Inclinato exhibition in the Ex Dogana in Rome, along with works by masters such as Alighiero Boetti, Gino De Dominicis, Tano Festa, Jannis Kounellis, Pier Paolo Calzolari, Luigi Ontani, Giulio Paolini, Mario Schifano, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Emilio Prini and Cesare Tacchi. 创作理念

Esta obra comienza (como casi siempre otras) con un hallazgo, en este caso 6 chapas oxidadas. Lo irracional del material elegido y el azar se conjugan, exponiendo con crudeza el paso del tiempo y da a lo caduco una nueva chance de victoria, haciendo visible las contradicciones fundadas e imposibilidades perfectas.
This work, like almost always, begins with a discovery, this time being six rusty metal plates. The irrationality of the chosen material and chance are combined, crudely exposing the passage of time and giving the outdated a new chance of victory, making visible the found contradictions and perfect impossibilities.
