    We are pleased to invite you to the 1st International Symposium on Contemporary Material Art, which will be hosted by the Contemporary Art Institute, Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University. The Symposium will be hosted face to face and online in mid-February 2023.

   In the first instance, we require everyone who wishes to submit their work to the conference to submit an abstract describing the proposed paper.

    Papers that have been evaluated and accepted to be presented in the symposium by the Research Board will be included in the congress proceedings book. Papers that are in line with the theme of the congress will be evaluated by the Research Board, and following a review process, the eligible papers will be included in the Tsinghua Magazine.



1)   Abstract should be submitted before the 30th of November 2022

2)   Abstract text should include information about the purpose of the research and the method of the research.

3)   Abstract should be at least 250 and at most 350 words written in English.

4)   Abstract should be submitted following writing rules and page layout.

5)   Abstract selection notifications will be sent out to relevant authors.

6)   Full papers should be submitted before the 31st of January 2023

7)   Abstract and full papers written in English, Chinese or Spanish which have not been previously published or presented elsewhere can be submitted for the congress.

8)   Papers must be at least 4500 and at most 5500 words in length, including abstract, figures, references, and appendices.

9)   Papers submitted by e-mail can be in text format (.txt) or Word document format (.doc); illustrations should be clear and legible with saturated colors, and *.jpg format is recommended. Images should be stored in a separate folder and marked with a note.

10) Abstract and full article should be sent by the corresponding author as a Microsoft Word file.

ABSTRACT

The title should be written in 12 font size with Calibri font to be compatible with the content. Abstract text should be written in Calibri font, 10 pt, 1.15 line spacing, justified. Author titles and names should be written with Calibri font, 10 pt, bold and italic, centered with 1.15 line spacing, leaving a space after the title. University / Institution names should be written just below the authors, with Calibri font, 10 pt, centered Italic. Page borders should be 2.5 cm. A line space should be left under the abstract, and keywords consisting of at least 3 and at most 5 words should be given. Only the first letter of the first keyword must be capitalized. Except for proper names, all keywords should be written in lower case.
