1962年生。杭州师范大学美术学院教授，杭州师范大学美术学院原院长，国家教指委 艺朮设计专业指导委员会委员，杭州市美协副主席。作品《劳保 1 号》获 2002 年第二届“从洛桑到北京”国际纤维艺术双年展最高奖项优秀奖；2004 年纤维艺术作品《劳保2号》在德国克隆纤维艺术展展出，并入选第十一届2004年波兰洛茨壁挂三年展；2005 年纤维作品《天堂的眼睛》入选立陶宛首都维尔纽斯第四届国际小型纤维艺术双年展；2006 年作品《影之印》获“从洛桑到北京”国际纤维艺术双年展铜奖，作品《蜕》入选十二届全国美术雕塑展。

Zhou Xiaoou nació en febrero de 1962. Es catedrático de la Academia de Bellas Artes de la Universidad Normal de Hangzhou, exdirector de la Academia de Bellas Artes de la Universidad Normal de Hangzhou, miembro del Comité Directivo de Diseño Artístico de la Comité Nacional de Orientación de Educación y vicepresidente de la Asociación de Artistas de Hangzhou.
La obra de Zhou Xiaoou Protección Laboral Número 1 ganó el máximo galardón de la Bienal Internacional de Arte de Fibra - De Lausana a Pekín, en 2002; Protección Laboral Número 2 se expuso en la Exposición de Arte de Fibra de Colonia, Alemania, y fue seleccionada en la Once Edición de Trienal de Arte de Tapiz de Polonia, en 2004.

Zhou Xiaoou was born in February 1962. He is a professor of the Academy of Fine Arts, Hangzhou Normal University, the former president of the Academy of Fine Arts, Hangzhou Normal University, a member of the Art Design Steering Committee, National Education Commission, and the vice-chairman of Hangzhou Art Association.
Zhou Xiaoou's work "Labor Protection No.1" won the highest award of "From Lausanne to Beijing" International Fiber Art Biennale, in 2002; the "Seal of Shadow" won the bronze award of "From Lausanne to Beijing" International Fiber Art Biennale, in 2006. In 2004, the fiber artwork entitled "Labor Protection No.2" was exhibited in "Fiber Art Exhibition" Cologne, Germany, and was selected into the "11th Polish Fiber Art Triennial".

创作理念
《2018·蜕》系列是作者一直来坚持以纤维材料为固有介质的创作实验，集中体现其这几年的艺术思考与实践探索。作者认为，此作品至今也不能说已完善或成熟，仍存在着许多问题，而创作过程中的偶然性很大，就像是“蜕”的本意：它始终是一个变化的过程。
The series "2018 - Metamorphosis" is a series of experiments in which the author had insisted on using fiber materials as the inherent medium, focusing on his artistic thinking and practical exploration in the past few years. The author believes that this work cannot be perfect or mature, and there are still many problems, and the process of creation is highly contingent, just like the original meaning of "metamorphosis": it is always a process of change.
La serie 2018 - Metamorfosis es una serie de experimentos en los que el autor ha insistido en utilizar materiales de fibra como medio inherente, centrándose en su pensamiento artístico y su exploración en los últimos años. El autor cree que esta obra no puede ser perfecta ni madura hasta ahora, y que todavía hay muchos problemas, y que el proceso de creación es incierto, al igual que el significado original de "metamorfosis": siempre es un proceso incompleto.

作品《退一步》的创作始于2020年初“新冠”疫情肆虐、全民在家不能外出期间，完成于2021年谷雨季节。断断续续，历时一年，创作的过程也是作者为此次灾难祈祷的过程。
