1962年生于河北保定市，祖籍北京通州；1983年毕业于中央美术学院附中；1987年毕业于中央美术学院油画系，同年留校执教于中央美术学院油画系第四画室；1990年就读于德国卡斯鲁赫国立美术学院。现任教于中央美术学院油画系第五画室，教授，博士生导师。
从1985年至今参展30余场，近期参加的重要展览有：“绵延：变动中的中国艺术”，北京民生现代美术馆，北京；“元·孟禄丁”，北京民生现代美术馆，北京；巴西库里蒂巴双年展“脉动—中国当代艺术展”巴西奥斯卡尼迈耶博物馆；“世象” 意大利卡普塞圣亚科艺术中心；“新境——中国当代艺术展”西班牙马德里孔德杜克中心等。

Meng Luding was born in 1962 in Baoding, Hebei, although his ancestral home was in Tongzhou, Beijing, China. He graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1983; a few years later, in 1987, Meng Luding got a degree from the Oil Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts and started to work in the same department as a lecturer at the 4th Studio. In 1990, he studied at the National Academy of Fine Arts in Kasloch, Germany. Currently, Meng Luding is a professor and a doctoral supervisor; he teaches at the 5th Studio of the Oil Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts.
Since 1985 Meng Luding has participated in more than 30 exhibitions. The most recent ones include: "Stretch: Chinese Art in Flux", Minsheng Art Museum, Beijing, China; "Yuan Meng Luding", Minsheng Art Museum, Beijing, China; "Pulsation - Chinese Art in Flux", Curitiba Biennial, Brazil; "World Image", San Arco Art Center, Capsa, Italy; "New Realm - Chinese Contemporary Art", Conde Duque Center, Madrid, Spain.

Nació en 1962 en Baoding de la Provincia Heibei, se bachilleró de la escuela afiliada de la Academia Central de las Bellas Artes en 1983, se graduó del Departamento de Pintura al Óleo de la Academia Central de las Bellas Artes en 1987, y el mismo año empezó a enseñar en el 4º Estudio del Departamento de Pintura al Óleo de la Academia Central de las Bellas Artes. En 1990, estudió en la Academia Nacional de Bellas Artes de Kasloch, Alemania. Ahora enseña en el 5º Estudio del Departamento de Pintura al Óleo de la Academia Central de las Bellas Artes, y es catedrático y supervisor de doctorado.
Ha participado en más de 30 exposiciones desde 1985, y entre las más recientes se encuentran: "Dureé: Chinese Art in Flux", Museo de Arte Minsheng, Pekín, China; "Yuan Meng Luding", Museo de Arte Minsheng, Pekín, China; "Pulsation - Chinese Contemporary", Bienal de Curitiba, Brasil; "World Image", Centro de Arte San Arco, Capsa, Italia; "New Realm - Chinese Contemporary Art", Centro Conde Duque, Madrid, España, etc.
